The Phillies made it nearly a whole week without losing a game! Yes that’s right, the Phillies haven’t added to tier history leading loss total cause well they didn't play any games.. Well a couple of Phillies did and they starred in the all start game with Nick Castellanos knocking a hit and scoring a run, Craig Kimbrel locking down the save and of course, Manager Rob Thomson leading the NL club to victory for the first time in over a decade. The Phillies Road Winning streak got a little extra life with an exciting come back victory on Friday BUT as happens all too often down in Miami the Marlins got the best of the Phillies on both Saturday and Sunday, taking the series, ending the streak and handing us losses 11,227 and 11,228 of all time while sending the team into the all star break on a down note. The Fighting Phillies returned home once again and, well, disappointed once again. Despite EXPLODING for 19 runs in front of Shaquille O'Neal himself on Saturday, the Phils lost two winnable games on Friday and Sunday, losses 11,225 and 11,226 of all time and dropped the series at home to the Nationals. A real blunder as they head out onto the road before the break.
