The Phillies had to wait a day to get their series with the Nats started thanks to some strong storms and when they finally got going for a double-header on Tuesday Kyle Schwarber brought the thunder in the early game. It was the Nats who broke out the boomsticks in the nightcap however, so we’ll ring the Sad Trombell today for a double header split.

Trea Bien Monsieur Turner

The Royals pounded out a win against the Phillies on Friday to get a long homestand kicked off on a sour note and while it looked like a similar scene was unfolding on Saturday, Trea Turner knocked the ball over the wall and the monkey right off his back to kickstart a comeback win. They following it up with another W on Sunday so we’ll ring the bell for a second straight series.

A Series Win in South Beach

A back and fourth marathon on Wednesday that looked like an easy win early turned into a dreadful extra innings loss with Trea Turner doing his best Bill Buckner impression. But the Boys got back at it early on Thursday and shrugged off the hangover to earn an tidy 4-2 win behind Michael Lorenzen’s Phils debut. Let's Ring the Bell, for a series win in South Beach.

Pirates Steal Series in Steel City

The Phillies got their weekend in western Pa off to a nice start, eaking out a Friday win, but stumbled both Saturday and Sunday to lose a pair of winnable games against a pretty bad team. Thats losses number 11,235 and 11,236 and we get the sad trombone going to start the week.

O What a Series

The Phillies sputtered out of the gates against the Orioles in a packed citizens bank park with plenty of Os fans making the trip up from Baltimore. The Orioles struck first with a late win on Monday, loss number 11,234 of all time, but the Phillies struck back with a comeback, walk-off win on Tuesday and a Series clinching victory on Wednesday so let’s Ring the Bell for another series win!

Who’s on First

A miserable end to the Milwaukee series spilled into the road trip as the Phillies bats failed to get the job done Friday and Saturday, good for losses 11,232 and 11,233 in franchise history. Sunday the team finally had a win in their grasp as Craig Kimbrel suffered his first blown save of the season. We were reaching for the sad trombone BUT the Phillies rallied in extras to put up a crooked number and salvage the weekend with an 8-5 win. Lets Ring the Bell for another extra innings victory.

Brew Crew Beat You
