Wednesday Sep 06, 2023

Wednesday Sep 06, 2023

Bryce Harper shaved his beard and the offense lost their punch. Without Trea Turner or Bryce’s beard as hit the shortstop hit the paternity list, the Phillies offense flustered Tuesday as the Phillies bats slept with much of their east coast fans. they had just 3 hits and a loss. Number 11,249 of all time. But the Phils did take the series opener Monday so let's Ring the Bell ahead of a rubber match with thew Padres on Wednesday.

Brew Crew Take Two

Monday Sep 04, 2023

Monday Sep 04, 2023

Happy Labor Day! We’re a little late today as we enjoy some HOT weather on the east coast but the Phillies will look to bounce back in San Diego following a rough weekend in Milwaukee.. The Phillies lookes like they had another epic comeback in the works Friday but the bullpen and defense made a mess and the team lost their second straight game, before dropping a third straight on Saturday. They did salvage a 4-2 win on Sunday but we’re ringing the Sad Trombone for a series loss and Ls 11,247 and 11,248 of all time.

Bryce Harper: MV300

Friday Sep 01, 2023

Friday Sep 01, 2023

In what may have been the most entertaining loss of the year, the Fightin Phillies MVP lit the Bank on fire once again and while the bullpen ultimately couldn’t hold the lead Wednesday afternoon, Bryce Harper’s 300th career home run – one that gave the Phillies an 8th inning lead after trailing by a run – was an electric moment. I guess we'll ring the sad trombone for loss 11,246 of all time, but it really doesn't feel so bad as the Phils sit atop the wild card race while we flip the calendar to September.

We’re back after a week of beaching by the bay but the Fighting Phillies took no time off since we last spoke. Well they did have an off day in there but you know what I mean. After a somewhat frustrating series loss to the Nats, the Phils returned home and rallied back with a series win over the Giants and old friend Gabe Kapler and then a 3-game sweep of the Cardinals off the backs of the MVP and their Aces who by the way looked dominant. The Phils have won 5 of their last 6 with the only loss coming in an extra inning game where Bryce cranked a huge game tying homer ion the bottom of the ninth. Lets Ring the Bell for a strong week atop the wild card standings.

Philly Rob Rules the North

Friday Aug 18, 2023

Friday Aug 18, 2023

After a frustrating night at the dish on Tuesday the Phillies bats bounced back Wednesday against Kevin Gausman and the Blue Jays, pounding out 9 runs on 11 hits including 3 long balls to earn a 9-4 win, split the series and hand manager Rob Thompson his first managerial victory in his home land north of the borde. So let's ring the bell for Philly Rob’s Canadian success.

Cold Bats Can’t Back Zack

Wednesday Aug 16, 2023

Wednesday Aug 16, 2023

The Phillies got a strong outing from ace Zack Wheeler, but as become a theme over their three game skid the offense just could not get anything going against a strong starter and during their 2-1 series opening loss the the Blue Jays... that’s loss number 11,242 for the Phillies franchise, so well be sounding the Sad Trombone today.

Monday Aug 14, 2023

Monday Aug 14, 2023

The Phillies got their weekend started off hot with a win against the Twins but things took a turns for the worse when Pablo Lopez, Sonny Gray and an Ever Expanding strike zone cooled the Phillies bat, resulting in losses 11,240 and 11,241 of all time and a series loss for the Phillies. Bombs Away

Friday Aug 11, 2023

Friday Aug 11, 2023

As predicted the ball was flying out of the yard on Thursday evening with Patrick Corbin and Aaron Nola on the mound but remarkably neither starter allowed a home on the day. Still, the Phillies rode long balls by Trea Turner, Nick Castellanos and JT Realmuto, each of the two run variety, to surge to a 6-2 win. So let’s Ring the Bell for a Thursday win to wrap up a series victory against the Nats.
