Friday Sep 29, 2023

Friday Sep 29, 2023

The Phillies partied hard on the instructions of Rob Thompson after their Tuesday clinching win and while you may have thought that the rag tag hangover lineup thrown out there on Wednesday would struggle. Well, of course they won to extend the win streak to seven. The Phils caught loss 11,256 on Thursday but we’re still gonna Ring the Bell as our guys get ready for post season action.

The Phillies are going to the Playoffs! A Johan Rojas tenth inning single up the middle propelled the Phillies to a walkoff 3-2 win to clinch their spot in the playoffs. As the team celebrated in the locker room, the division rival Braves did 'em a solid and wrapped up home field advantage in the first round too as they downed the Cubs. Let’s Ring the Bell as we enjoy the wild card and await OCTOBER BASEBALL AT CITIZENS BANK PARK just six days away.

The Magic Number is ONE

Tuesday Sep 26, 2023

Tuesday Sep 26, 2023

The Phillies ripped of a 4-game sweep of the spiraling Mets over the weekend, pounding out clutch hit after clutch hit against their rivals from Queens, eliminating the Metropolitans from the playoffs and helping then on their way to an historic collapse of what was a 100 win team just a year ago. But we’re gonna have to leave our old pals behind in the regular season as the magic number for the Phils to clinch the top wild card spot and home field in the opening round is down to ONE. So let’s Ring the Bell for a weekend sweep and a chase to wrap it all up in Pittsburgh this evening.

An Atomic Schwarbomb

Wednesday Sep 20, 2023

Wednesday Sep 20, 2023

The Phillies absolutely took it to the Braves on Monday slugging 5 home runs including mammoth blast by Kyle Schwarber that literally left the stadium.. The Braves paid the favor right back on Tuesday with two Ronald Acuna Jr. homers and a 9-3 drubbing, loss 11256 of all time. Hey, they don’t hand out MVP awards to just anyone. Anyway lets Ring the Bell ahead of a Wednesday rubber match with the NL East champion Braves.

Dancing On My Mound

Friday Sep 15, 2023

Friday Sep 15, 2023

Wednesday was grim day in Philadelphia. The Phils really just didn't have it, mustering just single run on offense as they fell to the Braves who emphatically clinched the NL East against the team that knocked em out of the playoffs 11 months ago. The boos rained down as the Braves danced all over the Phillies mound in jubilation and while we’ll tip our cap to the division champs and sound the sad trombone today, we’ll remain hopeful that perhaps, just like last season, a different team will be dancing on the mound come October.

Sanchez struggles early then settles in
Phils can't touch Strider
Brave clinch NL East

Comeback Kids Fall Short

Wednesday Sep 13, 2023

Wednesday Sep 13, 2023

Well if the last couple days down at the bank are any indication, buckle up for October folks because another Phils-Braves elimination series would be JUST AWESOME. Each team scored 15 runs in the twin bill on Monday as they split wins and while the Braves earned second win in on Tuesday, the relentless Phillies put the pressure on and again pushed it to extras after falling behind 6-1. Yeah so we picked up losses 11,252 and 11,253 of all time, but we're gonna Ring the Bell for one win a whole lot of home runs from the comeback kids.

Phils can't win in extras

Bullpen Slips vs. Fish

Monday Sep 11, 2023

Monday Sep 11, 2023

After a series closing win on Wednesday the Phillies returned home for a showdown with the Marlins and though the Fightins held a lead in all three games this weekend, a couple of untimely Seranthony Dominguez meltdowns cost them the series. We’re hitting the sad trombone today as the Phils sandwiched losses number 11,250 and 11,251 of all time around a Saturday win.

Offense has got to be Bearder

Wednesday Sep 06, 2023

Wednesday Sep 06, 2023

Bryce Harper shaved his beard and the offense lost their punch. Without Trea Turner or Bryce’s beard as hit the shortstop hit the paternity list, the Phillies offense flustered Tuesday as the Phillies bats slept with much of their east coast fans. they had just 3 hits and a loss. Number 11,249 of all time. But the Phils did take the series opener Monday so let's Ring the Bell ahead of a rubber match with thew Padres on Wednesday.
